University Prof: Data show short-term lending not predatory

A column written by Brigham Young University Professor Richard W. Evans for the Deseret News was published this morning and is worth a read.

He surveyed lenders in Utah to gain more data on short-term loan transactions.  Prof. Evans points out that  after looking at the data:

“these loans are smaller in both total market size and individual interest expense than the APR interest rate would suggest.”

The full column is worth your attention and can be read here.
